Youtube Video service for artists and composers
About Sound was approached recently by John Rutter’s management to film a series of short videos in which the composer talks about the background behind his Requiem and provides useful tips for those wishing to perform the work. The series of 11 videos have been released on a designated Youtube channel, which has already generated a significant amount of traffic. Artists and composers can benefit from taking control of their media, particularly where for example there are unofficial websites run by enthusiasts, About Sound are uniquely placed to advise upon and create content for the various strands that comprise today’s social media environment.
Filming was by Simon Yapp, head of media at Glydebourne. About Sound can offer everything from single camera interviews to multicamera OBs, having worked with Polyphony, the Hilliard Ensemble, Arvo Pärt, Joanna MacGregor and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
